Dallas- The Airport Before

So here I am sitting in gate D23 of Dallas airport, waiting to go to Tokyo. I wasn’t planning on going to Japan this morning, but due to a strange twist of airline policies the fates are demanding I spend four hours in a layover in a Tokyo airport. I’ve never been to Tokyo before. I’m a little apprehensive, actually. I remember reading in some literature that it is considered rude to make eye contact with people for more than a few seconds. Ugh. I might add that I’ve been partying all night and pretty much the entire day before as well. So right now I’m pretty wiped. Dallas Airport also has this stupid thing called a SkyTrack, which takes you all around the absolutely enormous airport. So I drag myself to this gate and take one look around and realize I’m in the right space. Everyone was Asian. I’d better get used to that quick. Even now there are only seven people who aren’t Asian going on this flight. There’s some guy with a facemask on over there. I wonder if he has TB. Oh well. Also missing my pick-up with the resident director, so I’m not really sure what I’m going to do when I get there. Hopefully I can scrounge up some literature that spells out “take me to Starr Hall” or the driver will speak English. Got a little bit till the flight leaves. I’m gonna go hit up an ATM and grab some water.
